Invar 36 is a nickel-iron low-expansion alloy that contains 36% nickel. Manan Steels & Metals is a leading Invar 36 Round Bar Manufacturers in India. It has nearly constant dimensions across the normal atmospheric temperature range and a low coefficient of expansion from cryogenic temperatures to about 500°F. At cryogenic temperatures, the alloy retains good strength and toughness.
Invar 36 can be hot and cold formed and machined in the same way that austenitic stainless steels can. Filler Metal CF36, which is available in bare wire for both the GTAW and GMAW processes, can be used to weld Invar 36.
